2018Shortly after earning his first pro skateboard, Tom Schaar defended his title as winner of the Vans Pool Party event, followed up by a victory at the Vans Park Series event in Sao Paulo, Brazil one month later.

2017Nyjah Huston won the Street League Supercrown Championship event, which marked his 20th title in the series.
201710-year-old Asher Bradshaw became the youngest person ever to land a 900 on a vert ramp at Woodward Skate Camp. The video went viral and sets the stage for his entry into major global competitions.

2014Element launched "No Board Left Behind," a project that combined grassroots community outreach with the brand’s “conscious by nature” philosophy, to repurpose used street skateboards into new cruiser skateboards by cutting them into a new shape and extending their life.

2013Element team rider Tom Schaar became the youngest X Games gold medalist after landing the first-ever 1080 in a competition (three complete rotations). Tom also landed an appearance on the popular talk show, Ellen.
2012The Element skate team won Best Team at the TransWorld SKATEboarding Awards, the largest showcase for skateboarders and skateboard brands.
2011Element released an outerwear collection, Wolfeboro, named after founder Johnny Schillereff’s family camp in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. As the first and only skateboard company to create technical outerwear, the Element Wolfeboro line continues to be a market leader.
2010Elementatlity skate film was released featuring Bam Margera, Nyjah Huston, Mike Vallely, Colt Cannon and Tosh Townend.
2007Element released Tricks, a skateboard video featuring the Twigs youth team, aimed at inspiring younger skateboarders.
2005This is My Element skate film was released starring Bam Margera, Chad Muska, Nyjah Huston and Ray Barbee.
2004Element was the first skateboard brand to launch its own amateur contest series, Make It Count, quickly expanding to 20 countries and becoming the world's largest, grassroots contest series.

2002Elemental Awareness, a non-profit-organization, was established to help at-risk through the avenues of skateboarding, the arts and nature.
2001Vanessa Torres joined the Element family as its first female professional skateboarder. She won the Women’s Street Skateboarding championship and was considered the best female skateboarder in the world.

2000Bam Margera joined the Element family, bringing a new attitude to company. With his hit television and film franchises Viva La Bam and Jackass, Bam became a household name and pop culture icon.
2000Element released the Burley, a signature pant from Donny Barley, which became a standard for skateboarders across the country.

1998Element launched its youth division, Twigs, the industry’s first skateboard and apparel offering purpose-built to deliver optimal performance for smaller skateboarders.
1998Element invented Featherlight skateboard construction. The lightest and strongest skateboard made, commanding more than 40% of the skateboard deck market.
1997Johnny Schillereff, avid skateboarder, artist and outdoor enthusiast, pursued his passions and created Element, the first skateboard and apparel company.
